Rajasthan Foundation organizes ‘Meet and Greet’ program for Non Resident Rajasthanis

Jaipur, 09January 2023: On Monday, a ‘Meet and Greet’ program was organized for the Non-Resident Rajasthanis (NRRs) who had come to participate in the three-day Pravasi Bhartiya Divas convention. The event, organized at Hotel Sayaji in Indore, was addressed by Additional Chief Secretary, Industries, Government of Rajasthan, Mrs. Veenu Gupta and Commissioner, Rajasthan Foundation, Mr. Dheeraj Srivastava. On this occasion, about 40 from Kuwait, Kenya, Qatar, Uganda, Poland, United States of America, England, Dubai and many other Countries Pravasi Rajasthanis participated either by themselves or with delegations.

*On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Industries, Government of Rajasthan, Mrs. Veenu Gupta said that “our new NRR policy is based on the concept of five ‘C’ – Connect, Culture, Community, Care, and Contribution. In this policy, the focus has been on connecting NRRs and their contribution to the development of the state. Along with this,there are provisions to develop mechanisms to solve the problems of NNRs Rajasthanis and work for their welfare. The policy aims to cover a wider base of NRRs by covering more than 1,00,000 NRRs under the Rajasthan Foundation in the next five years.”

*Commissioner, Rajasthan Foundation, Mr. Dheeraj Srivastava said that according to the vision of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Ashok Gehlot, the Rajasthan Foundation is working on the objective of connecting the Non- Resident Rajasthanis to their motherland. Keeping this objective in mind, Rajasthan Foundation is expanding its reach in Europe, US, UK, Dubai, Kenya and other countries where Non-Resident Rajasthanis (NRRs) are working in large numbers. The recently launched NRR policy proposes to engage Non Resident Rajasthanis in the economic, social and cultural development of the State.

In the valedictory session to be held on January 10, the last day of the PBD convention, the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Draupadi Murmu will conferred Poland based NRR Sh. Amit Kailash Chandra Lath with the “Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award” for his outstanding contribution in the field of business and community welfare. This year 27 awards will be given by the President of India in different categories.

Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (PBSA) is the highest honor given to NRI’s. The award is conferred by the Hon’ble President of India as part of the PBD Convention for outstanding achievements by NRIs, persons of Indian origin or organizations/institutions established and run by them.
