Mumbai, 05th June 2024 – Star Sports, the official broadcaster of the TATA IPL 2024, announces the successful conclusion of the ‘Incredible Premier League School Quiz’, an innovative initiative aimed at engaging young cricket fans across the country during the ongoing marquee tournament. The second instalment of this quiz has attracted a record-breaking 2.1 lakh participants from over 17,000 schools, beating its own record set in the previous edition.

The ‘Incredible Premier League School Quiz’, targeted for the youngest fans in the cricket ecosystem in India, consisted of three rounds designed to test the knowledge and skills of young participants. The first round, held online from 26th March to 7th May, saw schools from various regions compete virtually. The top 20 schools then advanced to the zonal round, with the top 5 schools from each zone moving forward. The National Finals, which brought together the top 2 schools from each zone, featured the top 8 schools competing for the ultimate title.
St. Anthony Senior Secondary School, Udaipur emerged as the champions, representing Rajasthan in the North Zone. Their victory, under the mentorship of former India batsman and gun fielder Mohammad Kaif, a member of the StarCast for TATA IPL 2024, was an excellent showing of intellect and intuition. Other mentors for the top schools included prominent members of the Star Sports Panel such as Tom Moody, Ambati Rayudu, and Varun Aaron.
