July 08th , 2024, Mumbai MMR: Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai announced today that internationally renowned senior oncologist, Dr. Jyoti Bajpai has joined the Apollo Cancer Centre as Lead-Medical and Precision Oncology (Mumbai & Maharashtra Region) to drive its efforts in the fight against cancer. Dr. Bajpai is a well-known clinician for her work in the field of immuno-oncology, precision medicine, rare & challenging cancers (sarcomas, pregnancy-associated cancers, Adolescent & young adult cancers, LGBTQ+ cancers, geriatric cancers), and women cancers (breast & gynecological).
She brings with her over 19 years of experience in the field of cancer including 15 years in Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai as a professor and breast DMG convener. With specialized training in immuno-oncology and melanoma from the esteemed Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre (MSKCC) in New York, USA, and comprehensive experience in bone and soft tissue sarcomas from the distinguished Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Centre at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, USA, Dr. Bajpai brings a wealth of expertise to her role. Furthermore, she has undergone training at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi &is an ESMO leadership graduate.

A graduate of the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) Leaders Generation Programme, Dr. Jyoti Bajpai is today a core committee member of ESMO-W4O (Women in Oncology). Dr. Bajpai has also contributed towards development of prestigious international European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) and Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) and advanced breast cancer (ABC)guidelines for sarcoma, Immunotherapy of gynecological cancers and breast cancer. Her research work in her core interest areas like rare cancers such as sarcomas, pregnancy associated cancers, breast & gynecological cancer, immuno-oncology & precision oncology has been published in international and national publications.
