Omay Foods, a healthy snack brand hailing from Jaipur, Rajasthan, is ready to boost its sales, brand visibility and customer connect during the upcoming Amazon Prime Day 2024, which is scheduled for July 20 and 21, in India.

Six years ago, Vijay Katta found himself bogged down by the hustle and bustle of entrepreneurship. As he traveled extensively for sales and marketing, his dietary habits took a hit. Frequenting quick-service restaurants led to bloating, low efficiency, and decreased productivity. Today, Omay Foods offers 25 SKUs, all prepared without oil and seasoned in-house. During the Amazon Prime Day 2024, its products will be available for Amazon.in customers across the country, at 100% serviceable pin codes.

They pride themselves on producing clean label products that are naturally sourced and prepared. Customers often describe Omay Foods as a warm hug from home, a testament to the brand’s commitment to quality and authenticity.

Omay Foods is a family-run business, co-founded by Vijay and his father, who brings 40 years of experience in the food industry. With a dedicated team of 30 employees, they embarked on a journey to bring their healthy snacks to a wider audience.

In June 2020, the company faced a significant challenge. Initially focusing on offline sales, they encountered inventory problems exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. This hurdle led them to double down on their online presence, particularly on Amazon. Joining the Amazon Launchpad Program in 2019 marked a turning point for Omay Foods. What began as 100 orders a month in 2019 skyrocketed to 100 orders a day by 2020. Fast forward to 2024, and Omay Foods is now processing 20,000 orders per month, showcasing a remarkable tenfold growth through Amazon.

The company’s success on Amazon can be attributed to their strategic use of various programs and tools. From the Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) service to the Seller Flex and IXD programs, Omay Foods leveraged these resources to optimize their operations. Affiliated with five fulfillment centers, they have seen tremendous growth, thanks to the efficiency and reach provided by Amazon’s fulfillment channels.

Omay Foods is now among the top five brands in the gourmet snack industry, standing shoulder to shoulder with major players. Remarkably, they have achieved this feat without external funding, remaining completely bootstrapped and profitable. Their maximum business comes from Amazon, and they are now eyeing global expansion in the next four years.
