Launched Asia’s first low carbon zinc, EcoZen – expanding our product portfolio, green zinc is produced using renewable energy with a carbon footprint less than 1 tCO2e per tonne produced
Zinc is going to be gaining further importance as a key metal for energy transition – we have partnered with American battery manufacturer AEsir which specialises in the manufacturing of zinc-based batteries. These are emerging as cost effective, environment friendly and safer alternatives to lithium-based batteries. HZL will supply zinc to AEsir and integrate with the global value chain of batteries.
Highest-ever first quarter mined and refined metal – we hit 263 KT of mined metal production this quarter, with improved metal grades. The team is working dedicatedly on introducing new technologies and improving efficiencies in production.
